Saint Rémy de Provence

An idyllic location in the South of France

Saint Rémy de Provence offers all the charms of a small Provençal town and has a wide range of cafés, restaurants, shops, art galleries, museums and historical sites.

It is situated at the foot of the picturesque Les Alpilles mountains which offer excellent hiking and cycling opportunities.

There is a wonderful market every Wednesday throughout the year and is one of the very few towns in the region that remains dynamic during the low tourist season.

Saint Rémy de Provence was voted second in the Forbes.com survey: "Europe's Most Idyllic Places to Live".

Courses take place in a traditional Provençal house (Mas).

The Mas is in short walking distance of the town centre and footpaths leading into Les Alpilles mountains are easily reached.

It is right next to the Roman ruins of Glannum and the Monastere Saint-Paul-de-Mausole, where Van Gogh stayed at the psychiatric hospital during 1889 and painted some of his most famous works.

Accommodation

Saint Rémy de Provence offers a very wide range of accomodation.

18 hôtels, 100 chambre d'hôtes (bed and breakfast) and 120 weekly holiday rentals cater for all budgets. Saint Rémy also offers 50 restaurants.

Please let me know your requirements and I can give you some suggestions and help with reservations, if required.

However, using the links below should enable you to find almost any kind of accommodation you can imagine!

Mas des Trois Cyprès

Chez André et Martine Mollard

Bed and Breakfast and studio: Only a 2-minute walk away and very close to the town centre. This simple B&B has a family atmosphere and is located in an typical Provencal farmhouse with a swimming pool.

A lot of regulars come back to André and Martine’s every year. They always enjoy socialising with my students, so this is a good choice for if you’re travelling alone.

There is a small, guest kitchen and the hosts often organise a barbecue with guests.

Hôtel du Soleil

A five minute walk away and very well situated to the town centre. This hotel has been recently renovated and now offers a spa.

What I like is its quiet, but central location and the comfortable rooms and apartments. I have been sending students to this hotel for many years and they have all enjoyed staying here.

Please mention you are taking a course with Magali at Parlons en Provence if you stay here.

Booking.com

We recommend using Booking.com as the easiest place to find a broad range of accommodation options in Saint Rémy.

You can filter by budget, location and pretty much anything else to find a hotel, B&B, apartment or even Chateaux to stay in!

Office du Tourisme

For those that wish the more traditional route, the button below is a link to the Office du Tourisme for Saint Rémy.

Here you will find many options as well, although with less ability to filter results to your exact needs.
